I think we are always looking to better our lives. Some by way of things, some from money, some from friends, some in God, etc. Obviously, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life---and probably our best choice!
Either way, there is one thing we CANNOT deny---that we can't have change or expect change in our lives until we first make a change ourselves.
Just ponder that as you wonder why things are the way they are and never seem to change.
